Seva Project Locations:
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Boston, Massachusetts

City: Migues
Country: Uruguay
Dates: May 2013 - June 2013

Background: Migues is a rural town in the state of Canalones, Uruguay. In spite of soccer's popularity, there are not enough resources to sustain soccer leagues in Migues past age 13. Also, many families in Migues and the surrounding towns cannot afford equipment or transportation to games.

Activities: In collaboration with Partners of the Americas Minnesota-Uruguay chapter, Seva has created a storage space and donated equipment for players who cannot afford equipment to play in the existing league. We have also created a coalition of soccer coaches, community members, and league coordinators to work on expanding the league beyond age 13 for girls.

Goals: We hope to send a girls U14 team to the US to play at Schwan’s USA Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament in Blaine, Minnesota (United States).

How you can help: Our primary need is soccer equipment. Please email if you would like to donate new or gently-used soccer equipment.
